My foot doc prescribed Crocs the Rx version and I have used since having an indoor and outdoor pair. They are comfortable and easy to wash but a bit ugly for wearing in public. So: Ihave found these which are not Rx but seem to have the same open forefoot area and as soft bubber sole as the Rx. They have some top slots for appearance and better breathing and velcro adjustable straps which improve fit and appearance. I now have 3 pair and intend to use these new ones for outdoor wear until I get freezing slush in them.
Those look like wonderful Crocs. I read in WSJ on Ipod Touch that Crocs Company is pretty much going belly up and lost something like 160 million in 2009 --bankruptcy imminent as the fashion world makes last year's hit into this year's fashion faux pas. So, fashion be damned. Before the Croc goes the way of individually-toed rainbow leg warmers, mood rings and Earth shoes, you might want to buy a gaggle of them. Stash them next to the Billy beer cans in the attic, waiting for the big payday when the rest of the world recognizes they make a huge mistake and are willing to pay through the nose for these old favorites. Croc-wearing, Billy beer swilling billionaires. When the day comes, we're ready for them.
